Stress In The Megacity - Dhaka And Tokyo

Bangladesh and Japan are two very different countries that on the surface seem to have little in common. Yet both are very crowded and both countries also contain a megacity as their capital. Megacities are cities that have over 10 million inhabitants living within their metropolitan area and as such the pressures placed upon the city itself, and especially the people who live there, are very intense. In light of this, the article will look at the stresses facing both cities -as shown in a recent television documentary shown on BBC1 (Britain) hosted by Andrew Marr - and comes to some surprsing conclusions about stress and the megacity.
